Accordant Welcomes New Chair, Simon Bennett
2022 has started with change for many, and it’s no different for us here at Accordant.
We are therefore delighted to announce that Simon Bennett, who previously served as the Group’s Chief Executive for six years, and more as recently a Non-Executive Director, begins the new year as Accordant’s Chairman of the Board.
While steering the Group to continued success, Simon has ensured our people reside at the very heart of all we do. His clear passion for impact alongside profit led to the formation of The Work Collective – Accordant’s social impact initiative – providing meaningful work opportunities In New Zealand for those who face barriers to employment.
His commitment to innovation and thought leadership in the ‘future of work’ has also played an instrumental role in transforming Accordant Group into the broader, stronger, and diversified business it is today.
Simon’s deep industry expertise coupled with his considerable knowledge of Accordant’s businesses will underpin his ability to lead the Group’s governance and future strategic direction.
Simon succeeds Ross Keenan, who retired on 1st January 2022 following a considerable contribution leading the Accordant Board of Directors for almost 17 years.
We wish Simon all the very best in his new leadership role, and we sincerely thank Ross for the significant role he has played and the guidance he has provided, helping Accordant grow into the company it is today.
